Dayna Devon is a correspondent for the nationally syndicated entertainment show "Extra." She joined the program in July 1999 as weekend co-anchor and primary weekday correspondent. She later became the show's substitute anchor and was named permanent anchor in September 2003. This year, Devon transitioned into a correspondent role for the program, specializing in major celebrity interviews and celebrity lifestyle reporting, requesting the newly redefined duties in order to be able to spend more time with her two young children, both under the age of three years.
Devon joined "Extra" after spending more than a decade in television news. In 1997, she was hired as a general-assignment reporter for WPTY-TV, the ABC affiliate in Memphis, Tennessee. Within a year, she was promoted to anchor for three of the station's primary newscasts. With Devon as anchor, the station enjoyed a significant ratings growth – as high as 300% on some shows. In 1998, her team earned an Emmy Award for Best Live Broadcast.
Devon has also served as anchor for ABC's KMID-TV in Midland, Texas, and the CBS affiliate, KLST-TV, in San Angelo, Texas.
She began her career in radio, working as weekend anchor for KTSA-AM in San Antonio.
Devon is a regular entertainment commentator for CNN, Fox News Channel, MSNBC and The TV Guide Channel. She has been a celebrity guest host on "The View" and has been featured on NBC's "Today Show" as well as CBS' "The Early Show."
In 2007, she made multiple appearances on NBC's hit-show "Phenomenon." She appeared this past summer on The Food Network's "Next Food Network Star." Additionally, last season she appeared as herself in an episode of CBS' "CSI" and has been featured in People, US Weekly, In Touch, Star, Self, Ladies Home Journal, Fit Pregnancy, OK!, Cookie, Life & Style, First Magazine and Woman's World.
In 2007, Devon hosted the children's charity gala "Harmony with No Limits" and for the past two years she has hosted Mattel's "Little Mommy" tea parties.
In recent years, she has been a celebrity model for the fashion fundraiser "Race to Erase MS" and has served as a spokesperson for the organization, Teachers Count. In 2006 and 2005, Devon hosted Ladies Home Journal magazine's "Funny Ladies We Love" event and in 2004 she co-hosted More magazine's "Alpha Woman Award," honoring Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. Also, the past three years, Devon hosted Hollywood Life's "Stylemakers Awards." She previously co-hosted Movieline magazine's annual "Hollywood Style Hall of Fame Awards."
A native of Texas, Devon graduated from of the University of Texas at San Antonio. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and two children.
Personal life

Devon graduated from Alamo Heights High School in the suburb of Alamo Heights located in San Antonio (her birthplace). Her classmates included fashion designer Marisol Deluna and guitarist Clay Tarver. She also attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas and graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
She is married to plastic surgeon Dr. Brent Moelleken and live in Los Angeles. They have two children, a daughter, Emmi-Reese, born on September 2, 2005, and a son, Cole Brent, born on January 5, 2007.
In January of 2009, Devon became an on-air presenter on HSN, representing the Sensa Weight-Loss System. She also has a regular blog on hsn.com.

Dayna Devon (born February 21, 1970) is an Emmy award-winning American journalist, was the co-anchor, with Mark McGrath, of the television show Extra before Mario Lopez took over in 2008. She joined Extra in 1999 as the weekend anchor;[1] then became the weekday anchor in 2003.
Devon spent over 10 years in television news before joining Extra. She began her broadcast journalism career as the weekend anchor at KTSA-AM radio in San Antonio. She subsequently was an anchor for KMID-TV (ABC) in Midland, Texas, and KLST-TV (CBS) in San Angelo, Texas. In 1997, Devon joined the ABC's Memphis, Tennessee affiliate WPTY-TV as a reporter. The following year, she was promoted to anchor of the stations three news broadcasts. In 1998, Devon and her news team were awarded a "Best Live Broadcast" Emmy Award.
